The Romega® products are extracted from food grade herring caviar. Once separated from the fish caught for human consumption, the herring caviar is transferred to a separate manufacture line for further processing. The extraction is carried out through patent pending technologies under the mildest conditions possible to preserve the qualities of the roe and to avoid the formation of degradation products.

The manufacture is carried out under GMP according to 21 CFR Part 111 without use of harsh solvents. During processing, the phospholipids are separated from the herring roe proteins, and thus give rise to our two product categories high DHA marine Omega-3 phospholipids and herring caviar protein. The natural stable phospholipids are additionally protected by an inert atmosphere to avoid oxidation of the omega-3 fatty acids.
